Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
High School graduate or General Education Development Equivalency (GED)
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residency
Must be able to pass the Catoosa County Fire Department written exam for a Recruit
Must be able to pass the Catoosa County Fire Department Physical Agility Test (PFT)
All applicants must be able to meet the following standards:
Acquire the Georgia Firefighter Standard and Training Council Requirements to be certified as a Georgia Firefighter
Pass a medical exam consistent with National Fire Protection Association Standard 1582
Obtain EMT Certifications as set forth by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
Successfully complete all phases of Fire and EMT School
